This is a big year for Canada. Celebrations are taking place across all provinces so it is only natural that music festivals will step up their game as well. Quebec City Summer Festival took the reins by rounding up their performers list to a total of 50: 50 performances across 10 days of festivities and a wide range of genres. Admittedly that’s a lot of days and a lot of performances but what that means is there is a solid set of acts that will suit pretty much anyone’s liking.
Our QCF wishlist consists of acts such as Kendrick Lamar, Flume, DJ Shadow, Groenland, and Phantogram, just to name a few. In addition the music program QCF will also feature a historic photo exhibition, performances by L’orchestre d’homme-orchestres who create musical instruments from everyday objects, performances by a French street theatre troupe Plasticiens Volants and street performers The Transe Express.
All in all this is promissing to be two-and-a-half weeks of ‘clean’ Canadian fun. But don’t take our word for it, see for yourself.
