Toronto-raised Tre Mission gives an ode to his home town in his new song “You can have.” Having moved to the UK a few years back to work with the grime masters Tre hasn’t forgotten where he comes from: the video was shot in the Don Mills/Victoria Park area in Toronto, where Tre grew up, on the city’s 185th Birthday, March 6th. If you have spent a generous amount of time in the GTA many of the scenes will ring home and so will the situations: in the dimness of the night Tre goes through one of those relationship conversations that you may overhear on the city bus.

“You can have” is the 2nd track from Tre’s upcoming album Orphan Black, 4th project set to release later this year via Last Gang RecordsOrphan Black is his first full length release since Stigmata, which dropped over 4 years ago and was nominated for JUNOs and Polaris music Prize.

Since his entry into the music world Tre opened for the likes of Wiley, Kendrick Lamar, Isaiah Rashad, Joey Badass, Earl Sweatshirt, Kaytranada, and Skepta, among many others. Here’s to hoping some of that joy makes its way back to Tre’s home country.
